  • Lemon oil, white flowers and mint are some of the notes that open up in the 2007 Extra Brut Grand Cru Cramant Vieilles Vignes de Levant, which emerges from a parcel of 50-70 year-old vines in Cramant. Here the interplay of bright aromatics and vertical, old-vine structure come together beautifully. Next to some of the other wines in the lineup, the 2007 is a bit compact, but it is quite pretty just the same. The Vieilles Vignes is fermented and aged in a combination of neutral barriques and foudres. Dosage is 2 grams/liter. Disgorged: January 2015.
