2011 Domaine Dujac Clos de la Roche
750 ML France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos de la Roche, Grand Cru
Tasted: Jan 14, 2013
Tasting note: A deft touch of wood frames an intensely earthy, complex and notably ripe nose that features notes of spice, plum and black currant. There is excellent richness, size, weight and muscle to the vibrant middle weight plus flavors that exude a fine extract on the mineral-driven finish that offers extraordinarily good length. This is primary to the point of being quite backward yet it is not hard or aggressive as the balance of structural elements is impeccable.
